"Freddy" is a wild Tucan who has taken up camp in the reception area of the hotel for years. His girlfriend shows up every evening at 5:30 for dinner and then leaves again, but Freddy can almost always be found perching here, posing for everyone. Freddy does not like the rain...

After all the rain, we were eager to get out in the sun and into the river! Here, Artemis and I are ready to go on the "Boia Cross" excursion, which is a float down the river and its rapids in an inner-tube. Note Freddy posing above.
