The Best Day Ever

Our time in Brazil had been already brought so many new experiences for us. Thursday came so fast and we couldn't believe we were on our last full day in Brazil. But this day, in my mind, ranks one of the best in my life. We had scheduled an 8:30am snorkeling expedition of the "Natural Aquarium" at one of Bonito's nature preserves. The Natural Aquarium is a river that is fed by natural spring. The water is completely clear and allows for lush green vegetation to grow on the bottom, feeding an abundance of aquatic life.

Looking hot in our wetsuits

We started off with a training session in the pool to get acquainted with the gear.

Looking even hotter in our wetsuits

After our training, we were lead on a long walk through the preserve in order to get to the river. It just kept getting more and more peaceful as we passed over swampy land and into the forest.

This is where the natural spring begins and feed into the river.

As we rounded the bend to our destination I couldn't believe what we were about to jump into.

The first look under water

We swam down the river in a single file line. The forest was so peaceful and the river had so many beautiful things to discover. The experience of not just swimming around in one area but having a destination was so exciting to me. Indescribably peaceful.

Making unforgettable memories
