Best Day Ever (Part 2)

After grabbing a quick bite to eat and swooning over our snorkeling experience, we drove for miles on bumpy back roads to another nature preserve called El Grotto Azul (The Blue Cave). It was really difficult to capture the beauty of this experience via photographs. The tour was a little overbearing, since the tour guide had a lot to say and we could not understand a word, but the cave spoke for itself. So we tuned out the guide and Dan and Artemis had a Nikon Hey Day!

This day was definitely not one of glamour. First snorkel masks and now hair nets?! It doesn't get much worse...

Ready for adventure!

Arriving at the cave

Attack of the giant grasshopper!

Now we come to the reason for the cave's name. At the bottom of the cave is a pond of sorts that is hundreds of meters deep. The angle that the light comes through the cave makes the water appear a rich blue. The color was impossible to capture on camera, but Te and Dan tried their best.

I just couldn't believe all the color
