Coney Island!

There were so many things we did while Emelie was here that were just as new to me as they were to her. One of these was our visit to Coney Island. I ate a deliciously sinful chili coney dog, coupled with some cheese fries. Coney Island is not terribly supportive of the vegetarian diet, so Emelie had to settle for a slice of cheese pizza.

Now, apparently we have a knack for getting caught in the rain. We watched the most incredible rain storm approach us as we sat comfortably on a blanket on the beach. The monstrous wall of water was lead by a stampede of screaming beach loungers as it quickly approached land from out in the ocean. We thought we'd be able to wait it out, but those rain drops were painful! As we stood up to run for cover, the storm blew our cheese fries across the sandy beach and we couldn't even stick around to clean it up.

Absolutely SOAKED!


But the the clouds parted and we enjoyed both sun and ocean!



And of course we couldn't stay away from the amusement park rides!
